Check park program schedules for specifics. The Recreation and Community Services Department is dedicated to keeping Lakewood parks safe, clean and fun for kids to enjoy after school. Providing healthy spaces for youth to gather and engage in self-directed activities is a top priority. These spaces provide op- portunity for you to be creative, stay active and socialize with friends. Recreation staff monitor parks and amenities, establishing a presence that promotes safety. Staff are available to provide play equipment and supplies upon request. This includes playground equipment, board games and arts and crafts supplies. Check out equipment with a Recreation Leader and please be sure to return it when you’re done enjoying the park. Park supervision hours adjust to school schedules to provide additional supervision on early dismissal days and on holidays.
